whats it matter?

legalizing marijuana matters greatly. Sure we could have the benifits of more money and a better economy form taxing and the sale of marijuana. All the money that we are spending and giving to other countries illegal drug dealers could be given to our own economy or even our government. However what you dont see is the money it would take to set up all the necessary parts to processes, grow, sell, and regulate marijuan. Much like alcohol you have to have test that can be administered like a B.A.C. blow test that police have. We also wouldn't realize it now but there are alot of problems that we could have with people being under the influence, such as D.W.I. which is a tragic thing to happen when innocent lives are involved.

I can hear the next argument that an advocate for legalizing Marijuana would say that it is used for medical reasons. As Marijuana has been proven and currently used in states like California to help terminally ill patients with thier pain and other issues. However this would not be legalizing marijuana but it would actually be only letting it be used for patients that have doctors perscriptions. I have been to California and of all the people i know who have a "Marijuana Card" none of them have actuall problems but they make things up and the doctors dont really care and just give them away.
